Vario Wrecking Ball

The wrecking ball encourages users to strike or kick it with broader range of upward or downward directed motions. The spherical shape provides an exaggerated strike area at its middle smaller areas nearer it’s top and bottom. During concept testing users repeatedly placed it in the uppermost position, above the other two elements, thereby replicating an opponent’s head. Users admitted deploying a greater variety of strikes and openly experimented. Two of the reoccurring comments from participants who trained on the Wrecking Ball included how they felt “gratified” by striking it with a lot of power and the rewarding feel of the element when struck. In a lower position, the element is well suited for downward kicks too. Vario Wrecking ball is only compatable with the Wavemaster Vario.

Each element contains two foams:

- Each provide 180° of strike surface (black color on one side and white on the opposite side)

- PF60130  – Softer foam, excellent for cardio training – with increased absorption

Vario is innovative for several reasons. It has two different performance foams instead of one under its skin. One foam provides the feel, cushion, and rebound you expect from the company that invented the free-standing bag, ensuring years of training and durability. The second softer foam is ideal for cardio and fitness training -reducing the potential for bruising on leg and shin strikes. Each of Vario’s three training elements has both foams. The arrangement naturally creates two zones that a single user can choose to move between to add variation to their training. Two different people could also choose to train simultaneously on the opposite sides of the bag. The foam’s location within the elements can be identified by the color and graphics of the element.

The ability to accommodate different levels of skill and size are another key benefit. The reconfigurable elements are dimensionally different - which allow users to stack them into an optimal configuration. Benefits include “right sizing” the height of the bag and locating the striking surfaces appropriately. As an example: creating a lower overall configuration for a smaller individual.
